Solan Goose is the first solo recording from multi-instrumentalist Erland Cooper, previously from his band projects The Magnetic North and Erland & The Carnival. Having grown up on the Scottish archipelago of Orkney, he wrote this work as a response to ease anxiety and claustrophobia working in a city. It explores the borders between electronic, alternative and classical music while creating for him and the listener a work of balance and calm - a kind of liminal space. Each song is entitled with a bird name but in local 'Orcadian' dialect. It's a record to travel to, and evokes themes of migration, restoration and childhood memory.

This original record has not been manufactured on CD. This is signed and created exclusively for Bandcamp on request. This comes numbered with LTD Edition artwork postcard.

Magic in its purest form. I love Floating Points, I love Pharoah Sanders, I love The London Symphony Orchestra. It's a match made in heaven, and the result is absolutely gorgeous. I have loved this record since its release, and realized I don't own it for some reason. So its time to change that. 9.5/10 honestly could become a 10/10 on an indepth vinyl relisten. angrypizza98

This is very close to what I heard/felt everytime we visited the grandparents in Runcorn. Ominous dread. Bleak dystopia. Concrete and terraced houses. Plus the air smells! MonkeyMajiks
